Melbourne Regionals 2008

A couple of pictures of us enjoying the Melbourne Regionals. We all had a great time and meet many people and learnt some great ideas. We all came home fun of inspiration and ready to go.

As you can tell I have not had time to blog anything, I have been flat out. Now Sale-a-bration is nearly upon us, and we will all go go go again. That's good, but no time for blogging.

This photo of our little group, is very pleasing to us, as there was only 2 of us at Conference in Queensland 2008, because that was our total group. So we have entended our family and we are all great friends, and enjoying every minute of our Stamping.

I like to welcome our newest member to our group, Welcome Cheryl Hayes. Cheryl has a history of stamping, many years ago, and when she came along to a Stampin' Up! workshop, she was hooked. She came along to Regionals and joined a couple of days later.

I will endeavour to do a few more projects in the coming weeks, so hopefully will have something to post.

I am holding a Open House day at my home, for Sale-a-bration on 5th January, so if your interested in coming come along. I have many products to show you, and when you spend $100- on product, there are FREE give away, from Stampin' Up! (Sale-a-bration stamp sets) and something from me. Contact me for more infomation.

Melbourne Regionals

It has been a week now since I travelled to Melbourne, to the Stampin' Up! Regionals. I travelled down with Sue, a very good friend, unbelievable customer and work mate and Cheryl who I have meet in recent months, through SU. Cheryl has been a SU hostess, great customer and now, CONGRATULATIONS Cheryl a SU Demonstrator. Cheryl signed up after the Regionals and is very excited about joining the team.
We all gathered at the Melbourne Conference Centre to listen to SU staff praise the Australian Demonstrators at how well we are going. That's thanks to our customers and the excellent product well sell. So thank you all very much for supporting me and our team.
We enjoyed making 4 make and takes, and seeing the upcoming new products. Very exciting, you will love them. OK here is a peek at the make and takes.

This is the thanks card folder we made, with the new Live Your Dream Stamp Set, and New Afternoon Tea Designer Series 12 x 12 Papers.

This is the 6 x 6 scrap page, that I still have to add a photo too. Notice the new Square Scallop punch I used, Its great.
This is a thanks card, using the same Stamp Set and Designer Series Papers just added some 5/8" gross grain Choc Chip Ribbon. Gorgeous isn't it.

The last one is the Thanks Matchbook Card. Notice the Scallop along the bottom each. That's the new Scallop edge punch. All the samples are very simple but very effective.

If you would like to learn how to make any of the above just contact me on my email and if you live in the area we could organize a workshop and show a couple of these.

Thanks for looking, Happy Stamping,

Cheryl

Our second son is getting married to a wondeful girl, and they have chosen to have the ceremony in our very new garden. So with lots of soar grass and little water it has been a challenge. Back from Holidays

I am back from holidays, and feels like I have never been away.

Straight back into work, and workshops. Not that I am complaining about the workshops, they are the best.

Our holiday to Perth was great. The weather was fantastic, an amazingly pretty place. Just sad to have missed the wild flowers. Kings Park was one of my favorite spots and Fremantle. We visited the Prison, at Fremantle, that place was impressive. Can't believe it only closed 17 years earlier. If you get a chance go see it.

I would like to congratulate Mel for signing up her first member to her Team, Welcome Jodie.
Mel has also just created her blog, its great, visit http://stampinupmel.blogspot.com/

Look forward to some tips Mel.

A big congratulations to Donna and Trevor on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy "LOGAN" a new little brother for Noah and Tom. Everyone is well.

Finally our Stamp Camp has arrived. We will all meet at the Murray Downs Resort on Friday afternoon, and Stamp, Scrap and Card make away all weekend. (can't wait)
We are also holding a fund raiser for Relay for Life, so anyone who wants to donate just contact myself. Thanks.

I will upload pictures and creations after the weekend.

Matt turned Fifty

I am finally back. It has a been a busy time. Matt has just turned fifty, and the whole family came home. Justin & Maddi from Wood Wood, Dan & Marn from Mildura and Emily & Stu from the Gold Coast. We had a great time all together, our family gatherings are few and far between, because of distance. We all had to gather at the Nyah Trots, as Matt (husband) and Danny (son) were both driving. Matt didn't do so well, but Danny got a 3rd and two 2nd's by a nose. Matt trains the horses, and Danny does most of the driving. After the trots, we all came home to cut the big cake, and blow out the candles. Emily (daughter) and Maddi (grand-daughter) decorated a huge mud cake.

Then it was off to Adelaide, for the Trots at Globe Derby. Matt loaded the horse up, and all the family followed to barrack. Brazen had the perfect run, until the last 500 metres and the poor thing broke down with a sore knee, we thought we had it in the bag. He tried right to the end, ended up with a 5th, and a knee the size of a footy. After a couple of vet visits, he has ended up in the paddock for a well earned rest.

Matt's photo board over fifty years of his life.

The birthday cake decorated by Emily & Maddi. Yes horses all over it!!!

Christmas Cards

Welcome back, a day late but better late than never. A couple more cards from my training day with Donna.

Card Recipe

Card One
Stamps: The Snowflake Spot
Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Real Red
Inks: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Mellow Mose, Real Red, Versa Mark.
Accessories: Crimper, Clear EB powder, Brads, Grosgrain Real Red Ribbon, Tool kit, Rectangle double punch, dimensions, heat tool.

Card Two

Stamps: Snow Burst, Many Merry Messages, Peaceful Wishes

Accessories: Clear EB powder, Dazzling diamond, heat and Stick powder, heat tool, Purely Pomegranate stitched ribbon, Round Tab punch, 1/2 " circle punch, sponges

This card hasn't photographed as well as I had wished but is a lovely card. I used the round tab punch to cut a 2" circle to make the Christmas ball in the middle of the card, and its is stamped and covered in dazzling diamonds. The background is also stamped, with the soft sky and blue bayou then dazzling diamonds applied to a number of snow bursts. Seasons Greetings is clear embossed, using versa mark, real red ink then clear EB powder applied and heated.

Thank you for looking and Happy Stamping.
