Happy Gathering

Here are few photos of the Happy Gang that gathered at Murray Down Resort on Sunday. All 20 participants finished their 12 cards and nearly their birthday books. I have had many emails and sms texts to say they have finished now. Congratulations to all.

A BIG thank you to Aaliyah

I am the very proud owner of this fabulous scrap booking page, from my youngest little scrapper and card maker. Aaliyah was 7 years old when she created this page, and has recently turned 8. "Happy Birthday Aaliyah". Aaliyah is the grand-daughter of Cheryl (no not me), and she has taken to Stampin' Up! like a duck to water. The page says it all. THANK YOU Aaliyah I will treasure this page and show it to many people. Keep up the great work.

The finished Album

I have the Album together now. Used a very thick acetate on the front for protection and cardboard from the 12 x 12 designer packs for the back cover.


Tomorrow is a big day at Murray Downs Resort, Swan Hill. We are making the birthday book and cards. I will post some pictures of the troops enjoying their day, and hopefully their finished items. There will be a lot of chatter and catching up I bet.

8 x 8 Scrap Album

I was inspired by one of my wonderful customers (Kate), she said she had been searching the net and found a blog with a home made scrap book. ( lanaharvery.) Thank you to Lana and Kate.

I have had a go at making my own, using my photos from Canberra Convention in May 2009. I have used only Stampin' Up! products in creating this album, and to bind it I used a Zutter machine.


I used the colours that decorated the stage for Convention.
Stamps:- None
Card Stock:- Gold metallic, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, Regal Rose and Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Whisper White Refill
Accessories:- on board accents, crystal effects.
Technique:- Inked the on board letter, then applied crystal effects to give a shiney glazed look

Card Stock:- Kraft, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper Whit, Regal Rose
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Lge & Small oval punches, Flower Fusion, gold brad.

The Stage look fantastic, its was simple but really gave a bold happy feeling to the conference.

That was a marathon, well thats all the pages complete, now I have to assemble the album, using the zutter spiral binder. So you see it's very easy to make your own album using only stamps and a few basic accessories. Now it's your turn, have ago.

Old Favourites

I was looking through my stamp sets, and came across an old favourite, thought I would give it another go. I also had a request for a workshop to make a box instead of a card, so this is what I came up with.

Ink: Mellow Mose, Regal Rose
Accessories: Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, silver brads, both size tag punches, large oval punch, dimensionals, sticky strip.
Technique: Gable Box, 2 Step stamping.


This is a great little box that can be made for kids birthday party's for their lollies, or for a friend for a thank you, or just because you can. Enjoy making it.

Last card for the Birthday Book

Hi to everyone,

I am finally back, the pressure has eased off, our small little nursing home, Jacaranda Lodge, has just passed it's accreditation with flying colours. It was a very busy and stressful time for all concerned, and a big congratulations to all staff, especially Linda. You can stamp now Linda, and not feel guilty.
I have assembled my last card for the birthday book. It is 2 small gift cards. A great way to use up your scraps, and experiment with colours.
