Invite in a box

A novelty way to send out an invite, or a great way to store some great little thank notes.

I found this little box on the net, and thank Dawn very much for sharing her ideas. This is a very simple little box to put together and can be used for so many different occasions.

Cut your Card stock 5 1/4" wide, 9 1/2" long. Then score. Long side score at 1", 4 1/4", 5 3/4", and 8 1/2".
Score on the other side, 1" in on either edge. Fold in on all score lines and use your bone folder to make score marks crisp.
Along the long edges, cut in 1" on all fold lines. Add sticky strip to all 1" tabs to put box together.
Create the bottom of the box first.
Then decorate as desired.

This is my little box closed. Here are the products I used:-
Stamp sets - Choo Choo 116887, Right on Track 113838,
Family Phrases 116356, All in the Family 116334
Card Stock:- Green Galore, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Green Galore, Basic Black
Accessories: Sticky Strip, cutter and scorer, scissors, 1/2" circle punch

Box open with a invite inside.

For the invites I used the Love notes 111861. They come in packs of 20. Containing 10 each of whisper white and very vanilla. Both cards and envelopes.
Hope you enjoy making your own, for what ever occasion. Enjoy.

Donna's Card

I have been really busy over the last couple of weeks, so I haven't had time to create any projects for you. So I thought I would go through my swaps from Canberra, and came across this one. This was made by my fabulous Up-line Donna, from Gerang Gerung. I am sure she would love to share this with you all.

I really like this, as it is one for the fella's.

Men Cards

I found this great technique called Faux Wood-grain.

I love it, it is so easy. This particular color wood-grain is as follows:

More Mustard Card Stock

Take your More Mustard Stamp pad and open it up, and drag it down your M/M card Stock about 3 - 4 times. Then take your Close to Cocoa Ink pad and drag it down the same card stock, over the M/M ink. Take Choc Chip Ink and do the same. Finally take you Whisper White Ink and drag it down , you judge how much white you want on the finished product.
I then got my journaler and a ruler and ruled on the lines for the floor board look. Don't forget to put the nail heads in.

So came up with a couple of men cards. They are the hardest to produce. Hope you like them

Stamps: Totally Tools
Card Stock: More Mustard, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: As above for technique
Accessories: Spiral Punch, Small Star Punch, brad, Curly Label Punch

Stamps: Totally Tools and Birthday
Card Stock: Old Olive, More Mustard, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: As Above for Technique and Old Olive
Accessories: Large Tag Punch, snips

Hope you all have fun trying this, also try in different colors.
