MY DOWN TIME! CHRISTMAS 2011.

I managed to get a little down time for myself after Christmas.  My Dad's birthday is just after Christmas, so need to get a card made for him.  He is a mad cricket fan, and you can't miss the Boxing Day test.  So thought this would be appropriate for him. I used a retired Stamp Set and card stock, but still happy with the way it turned out. Happy Birthday Dad. (yes we won the 1st cricket match.)

A little scrapping time found too.  Lola came to visit Nan and Pop, and she is just a delight. She is just learning to get around, not crawling yet tho.

Hello to All, 

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.  Just thought I would put up a couple of quick posts before the big event.  I made these deco's, after being shown from one of my wonderful club members, Bev.  They are just wonderful.  Thanks Bev for sharing.

 I have used the wonderful Stampin' Up! fabric - Deck the Halls, the Big Shot, Scallop Square die, Fun Flowers Die and the new ribbon Seam Bidding in Cherry Cobbler.  Filled these with Lavender and they are a treat.

I created this card from a technique we were shown at Melbourne Regionals 2011. Cate Lynch from our home office showed us this great idea.  Thanks Cate.

Notice the shadowing with the words, and look at the new pennant punch, created this funky little Christmas tree, which is decorated with our Stampin' glass glitter.

Family Scrapping Layouts

I have finally had sometime to create a couple of layouts. I have such a great time doing them, music on in the background, grand-daughter over the shoulder, and wonderful subjects to work with.  Hope you enjoy them and they inspire you to get out the stamps and embellishments and create your own master piece.

 Emily, Stu and Lola in a family shot we had taken recently.  First page scrapped with this little princess.

 Marnie and Jordi, have you ever seen a such a beautiful photo.  I have used the new Tangerine Tango embossing powder for the butterflies.  The new butchers string down the side, overlaying the DSP, and bigshot and alphabet die for journaling.

 Close up of butterflies and the using the Creative Elements stamp for the background. Stamps are the best for adding a little creativity and personal touch to backgrounds.

WOW, look at how our 1st grand-daughter has grown. Simply stunning. This is Maddi, where did the years go.

In all the layouts I have used the DSP collections, they are the best for scrap-booking, never have to have a dull boring back-ground again. I have also used the Paisley Petals in Jordi's and Maddi's layouts.

2011-2012 Catalogue Launch

I held a day to launch the new catty and a get together as my group had not done this for awhile.  I did a display to show many ideas, and made some frames like at convention. Lots of the ideas came straight from the new Idea catalogue (what a great  book to have).  There was about 20 of us altogether, who gathered over 3 full days to stamp, craft, sew and have a great time.

Just thought I would post a few of our stamp club swap.  Each month a few girls gather and learn more stampin' ideas, and we do a swap card, so when the occasion arrives we have a card to give.

 This next one is mine, another cased card, but I really liked it and so many elements.  Love this set, it is retiring, so if you want it better get in quick.

 This one is my Baby girl card for next months swap.  This was easy, as I just received a NEW Grand- Daughter ' LOLA ROSE'.

 Boy one I have started, wasn't sure which I needed.

Finished this one, has been hanging around for some time, just needed to cut out all those little bits.  Thanks to everyone for sharing there wonderful swap cards, and there will be more to come from my second Stamp Club.
