Fun Friday creating lovely cards.

Had a lovely day creating a couple of cards this afternoon. Linda wanted to add another love with Stampin' Up! Products, and we came up with this.

What do you think, pretty dam pretty I think. Linda was so generous in giving us a few flowers each that she had loving made. Added a pearl and boom, a gorgeous card.

This is another one that Sue wanted to have a go at. Sue made one for her gorgeous little grand daughter, and I needed a card for my lovely sister in law who is turning 50.  I gold embossed the flowers and then sponged the flowers to add a bit of colour, then cut out the letters I needed.  Embossed behind the the letters, and added a couple of those gorgeous crotcheted flowers.

This card, my down line Cheryl Algie, generously gave me a piece of this sensational  new DSP from the Sale-a-bration springtime foils, and simply coloured in with the blends. Added the sentiment, it's that easy.

Don't forget sale-a-brat ion is nearly in its final month. Don't miss out, contact me today to put in a order and receive your free products.

Fun Scrap layouts

Having fun trying out still more techniques, and the best part I'm getting pages done for the grand kids.
Still using the embossing paste and brusho on the background, and had no choice but to use the flamingoes for this layout.
Stamp sets:- Brush work Alphabet, Fabulous Flamingo, Yay You (hostess)
Card Stock:- 12. X. 12. Whisper White, flirty flamingo, dapper denim and pool party.
Ink :- flirty flamingo, blushing bride, tempting turquoise, garden grew, soft sky and powder pink.
Accessories :- brusho, shimmer embossing paste, stencil, butterfly punch, 1/4" circle punch.

Gorgeous Jordi and her little cousin Freddy.

This next layout is Ivy, as cheeky as ever.
This background was fun to do, and I think very textured and interesting.

Stamp set:- post script background stamp, butterfly basics, birthday blooms and touches of texture
Card Stock :- 12. X. 12  Night of navy, and pool party, powder pink, silver foil, and night of navy.
Ink :- basic grey, pool party
Accessories :- many circle punches, hello you thinlits, big shot, tissue paper, Brusho and vanilla shimmer smooch, silver thread, adhesive sheets.

To make this background, I run the pool party ink pad down the page all over, then ripped up tissue paper and scrunch it up, then opened back up, so there was lots of texture. I then glued it on in strips with the tombow glue. Stamped imagines light all over it, then added Brusho. Sprayed the whole page with vanilla shimmer smooch, then layered up the page.
Punched out the circles, matted the photos, and cut out the words. This is the time to get out your adhesive sheets for these fine thinlits, makes things so easy.

Have ago, and add some texture to your pages.

Sweet Soiree Speciality designer series paper in Scrap layout.

This beautiful paper and embellishment kit was easy to create a page. Thought this photo was perfect for this page.

I used the same idea from a previous post from Ruth artful stamping YouTube video. Lots of stamping, spritzing ink, sponging, embossing paste and ripping paper. Sponged up embellishments.
Fun and super easy.

Stamp Sets :- you're delightful, background bits
Ink :- Rich Razzleberry
Card Stock :- Sweet Sugar Plum, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Soirée designer series
paper
Accessories :- doilies, silver heat embossing powder, Sweet Soirée embellishments pack, glimmer embossing paste, and shimmer spritz.

Have a go and share your pages.

Scrap layout with Black Ice technique

Having a little play around with the Black Ice technique, and wanted to use it on a scrap layout. I didn't use a lot, just enough to highlight this page.
Cheeky little Freddy enjoying playing in the car while the others played on the water slide.

For the background I used lots of different stamps, to give the page a warmer feeling.

Stamps :- Background Bits, Timeless Textures, Touches of Texture
Ink:- Black Archival, Versa Mark
Card Stock:- whisper White 12. X. 12, silver foil, whisper white and Basic Black
Accessories:- heat embossing silver, 2 1/2" circle punch, Pretty Label Punch, black rhinestones, and shimmer grey ribbon.

The car image is from a retired stamp set sorry, but needed it to fit in with the page.

Black Ice - Stunning

Tried this fabulous technique today, it is stunning. This will be my next technique class next month.
Tried each foil colour just to see what they looked like. Loved them all. Melissa Kerman has a wonderful YouTube video on this technique.
Will be posting more about class soon.

Multi mediums - Stampin' Up! Scrap Layouts.

I have been playing around with quite a few different products, and watched a great YouTube video from Ruth at artful stamping, and pleased with the result.
This is a great way to use up some scraps, or be brave and tear into some designer series papers that you have been saving, and still haven't used. I have used up some old products as well, but there are new ones that can be used just the same.

This first layout is very straight after watching the video, very similar to Ruth's. I've is oblivious to all what's going on.
Stamp Set :- Petal Palette 145785
Card Stock :- 12  X  12 Blushing Bride
Ink:- Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Versa Mark
Accessories:-  Petal Garden Memories and More card Pack, gold embossing powder, Brusho new product, doilies and textured glitter paste and templates.

This layout is toned down a bit, being for a little boy. This is Oscar's 1st Birthday.
Stamp Set:- Touches of Texture 141934
Card Stock:- Crumb Cake 12. X. 12
Ink :- Crumb Cake
Accessories:- embossing paste and templates, Brusho, Memories and More card pack, and Glitter enamel dots.

Final layout is of Emily on her wedding day, a few years back now, but needed a lovely photo for this beautiful Designer Series Paper Painted with Love 145580.
Stamp Set :-from the Sale-A-Bration free products - Beautiful Peacock 147239.
Card Stock Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Calypso Coral, and Powder Pink, Rich Razzleberry.

Hope these pages inspire you to get out of your comfort zone, and have a go at something different.
