Canberra Conference 2009

I have just spent the last 4 days in Canberra attending the annual Stampin' Up! conference. Canberra turned the weather on for us, it was great, sunny days, and cool nights.
I had a wonderful time with my friends, Sue, Donna, Mel and Jodie, all Stampin' Up! crazy craft ladies. We had many sessions learning about stamping techniques and sharing ideas.
We all made many swaps and handed them out to others and them in return giving us some new ideas.
Shelli and her team came out from America to share with us all (450 approx) the new ideas and techniques. Also we have been informed of new changes within the company, that we as demonstrators will share with you our customers.

Here are a couple of pictures of the conference.

This is Shelli (co-founder, owner) of Stampin' Up! giving her presentation. She was fabulous.
How did you guess, I am here with Shelli. A highlight of the conference. Thanks Sue who took this great picture.

I will be back each day to let you all know more. At this very moment Sue and I are traveling around Tassie, so will fill you in about our trip as well.

Happy Stamping to all

Canberra here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only one week to go and we are off to Canberra. I am traveling up with my good friend Sue, and we will meet the others up there. We have our bags half packed, and our swaps nearly completed.
Sue and I will then travel to Tassie, for a well earned holiday, (we think anyway) No husbands, just the two of us and our credit cards.

I have done a couple of cards in the past week so thought I better show them to you. I cased the idea from splitcoaststampers and changed it a little. Thank you flatfish paper arts.

Conference name tags

Conference is fast approaching, so have been busy making swaps and names tags for my small but wonderful group. I have a group name, so have tried to incorporate that into the tag as well. Donna's (my upline) gave me a idea to hang the group name off our names. Thanks Donna.

Recipe: Stamps - (Level 2 hostess) Rustic Rooster, Big deal Alphabet
C/Stock - Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla
Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango
Accessories - Window Punch, Wide Oval punch, 1' & 1 1/4" circle punches, small oval punch
Designer Label punch, 5/8" Tangerine Tango grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, crystal effects.

Well girls I hope you like them, they look better when you have hold of them. See you at conference when we all met up.

Stampin' Up! is becoming more aware of scrap-booking, and have introduced some really beautiful designer series paper (12 x 12). I have a couple of pages for you to take a look at, using 2 different sets of papers.
The first one I cased from splitcoaststampers and changed a little. Thank you Gwendolen jvp.

Recipe - Stamps: Flower Fancy, Happy Everything
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Baja Blue, whisper white, Kiwi Kiss, D/S Urban Oasis
Ink: Baja Blue, Kiwi Kiss, basic grey
Accessories: On board lots of letters, crystal effects, computer & font, Curly label punch
dimensionals.

I am really happy with the way this page turned out. We had a family reunion over Easter, so it was a great time to get some family photos. I love the 2 step stamp set Flower Fancy.
The next page is using some of the same photo's taken at the reunion, this time using different D/S papers.

Recipe:

Stamps: School Serif Alphabet, Always, Wonderful Favourites
Cardstock: Choc Chip, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, whisper White, D/S Pink Flamingo
Ink: Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: On board Lots of Letters, crystal effects, dimensionals, small oval punch, Eyelet
border.
I love these bright colours, this pack of D/S papers is a signature collection which reflects our Cofounder of Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner personal style.

It's getting late, so time for me to sign off, and get some sleep so I can hopefully design a couple of new pages or cards tomorrow.

Happy Stamping

All about Me Album

Hi To All

Today I held my first class of All about Me album. The girls had a great time, and really got stuck into it. They did some great pages, happy to be doing something about themselves for a change, instead of everyone else.
Here are a couple of pictures of Kate, Daeanna and Bev hard at work.

We had a visit from my daughter, Emily during the day. She is very new to Stamping and is starting to really enjoy it. I gave her a job, she had to make her cousin a birthday card. He turned 9 today, Happy Birthday Jackson. Jackson is a mad Adelaide Crows supporter, in Aussie rules football. This is Emily in action.

and this is the finished product.
Stamps: Just Rugby, Its Your birthday, Tidy Alphabet, Bold numbers
Cardstock: Yo Yo Yellow, Night of Navy, Real Red, W/White
Inks: Yo Yo Yellow, Night of Navy, Real Red
Accessories: dimensionals, sponges
Technique: sponging

Thank you Emily.
