Mystery Hostess Scrap Day

Had a great day scrapping a double layout, that I cased from a fellow demonstrator Linda Higgins, www.lhiggins.blog.spot.com.au and Cheryl Algie, thank you both for the ideas. Didn't change much at all, only the back ground paper to co-ordinates .
I decided to do this with only a week to get organised and had a great response, so thank you to all the girls that came. I turned it into a Mystery Hostess workshop, for all those who earns a Sale-a-Bration prize went into the draw.  The winner being Myra Fisher, Myra was very happy, and chose $150- worth or FREE product and got the magnetic platform for half price.  Not a bad day out. Congratulations Myra, very happy for you.
Maddi at her end of year dance concert, all so with Miss Natasha and her class.
This is the layout everyone created, but I did do another, with different background, but just turned the designer series paper core and used the colours on the back to create the following layout.
This is gorgeous little Colbie Mae, she is being very clever playing ball and through goals.
Oh so cheeky.
Stamp sets: you're Lovely, flower shop, happy watercolour, petite petals
Card stock: pool party co-ordinates, whisper white, sweet sorbet paper all 12 x 12, Pool party card stock, early espresso
Ink: whisper white, summer star fruit, crisp cantaloupe, pool party, early espresso , pistachio pudding
Accessories: big shot, lattice die, deco labels framelits, secret garden framelits, rhinestones, sponges, daubers, pansy punch, petite petals punch

Stampin' Up! Workshop at Port Broughton

I travelled over to Adelaide last week to have my back fixed, and stayed with my sister for a couple of days. My wonderful sister organized a Worksop for me at Port Broughton with some wonderful ladies that had some experience with card making. I did 2 scrapbook layouts, and the guests made a card. They were amazed with how I created the paper with the stamps.

Using the new background wood grain stamp to do the top half of the page, and gorgeous grunge for the bottom, co-ordinates with one of the Sale-A-Bration Petal Parade stamp sets.
I cut up the off cuts of the Petal Parade Designer Series Papers into little strips, and wove them like patchwork, ( as a lot the the guest were patchwork ladies).
Used the big shot with the co-ordinate card stock for the heading.
Used a lot of the same stamps and techniques for the 2nd page.
Both pages together.
Closed up of the embellishment. This idea came straight out of the main catalogue.
Waste not, want not, used the frayed pieces from the burlap ribbon to put behind the flowers.
Detailed shot of the woven patchwork, with the new metallic buttons. The twine is another FREE sale-A-Bration product.
Port Broughton will soon welcome there very own Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Lynette Little.  welcome aboard Lynette.
If anyone wishes to find out more about Sale-a-Bration contact me now.

Shaving Cream Technique -WOW

Wanted to try this technique for so long, but just didn't get around to it. Visited my down line and we did a scrap page layout using this technique for the back ground, and loved it.  So thought I would try it again.
Check out Splitcoaststampers.com for the tutorial, super easy.

Stamp club members this is what we will be doing next week.

Stamp Set: Mosaic Madness
                   Sweet essentials
Card stock: wisteria wonder, elegant eggplant, wild wasabi, whisper white
Ink: wisteria wonder, elegant eggplant, wild wasabi
Accessories: mosaic punch and rhinestones
Stamp sets: secret garden
Card stock : as above
Ink: as above, illuminate ink
Accessories: big shot, secret garden framelits, embossing folder, pumpkin pie marker

Made all these in a couple of hours. Used only 1 sheet of A4 whisper white card stock for the shaving cream technique, so needed to use up.

Used Daydream Medallions stamp set, coordinating it with the Floral framelits.

This stamp set is one of our FREE Sale-A-Bration sets.

Have fun creating, and thanks for stopping by.

Monthly Scrapping Layout

I have decided to conduct a Monthly Scrapping Task with my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, customers and friends. I got this idea from one of my very good  hostess/customers, Jenny is involved in a 52 week scrap page task.  That would be amazing but I would have way of sticking to that, so starting off slowly. This is my 1st months layout. Keeping it very simple. The theme oft Month 1 is Parents.
